Join Young at Heart Ministry for a presentation from Certified Nutrition Coach, Christina Smith. Christina will discuss controlling weight through nutrition and meal planning. Taking place the Thursday before Easter, Maundy Thursday is a commemoration of the Last Supper. We will be holding a special service to worship and reflect on Christ’s sacrifice in preparation for Easter Sunday. We’d love for you to join us!

We’ll be volunteering with Stone Soup Kitchen on April 1st. Stone Soup Kitchen is a ministry of Almost Home and exists to feed:

• Our unsheltered friends

• Our elderly community

• Our food-insecure neighbors

• Our working poor

• And anyone looking for a hot meal and the love and companionship of a fellow human.

ALL are welcome and wanted.

Join us for our St. Patrick’s day celebration on March 17th! We’ll be hosting a “green costume contest,” eating some delicious Irish cuisine, and spending time with our Alive Church family. Wear your wackiest St. Patty’s day attire and come ready to eat! If you’re interested in supplying some Irish goodies, there will be a sign-up sheet in the lobby on Sunday mornings. Young at Heart Ministry is putting on a special St. Patrick’s day themed concert, featuring our very own Don & Susan Reitsma! Young at Heart Ministry exists to provide fun and fellowship for the elders in our community, those 55 and up—though all are welcomed to join! The concert will start at 6:30 in the sanctuary, with doors opening at 6. Light refreshments to follow.

Join us Friday February 24th for a movie night at the parsonage! We’ll be watching the film Ragamuffin, based on the life of renowned Christian musician, Rich Mullins. Doors open at 6 and we’ll start the movie at 6:30. Snacks and childcare will be provided.

We hope you’ll join us for our Ash Wednesday service as we enter the season of lent. Lent is a period of spiritual preparation to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
